Role Summary

As a Domiciliary Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering clinical care to service users in their own homes. You will work closely with service users, families, carers, and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure care is delivered in line with personalised care plans, promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, effective nursing care in service users’ homes

  • Conduct initial assessments and contribute to the development of care plans

  • Administer medications and perform clinical interventions as required (e.g., wound care, catheter care, PEG feeding)

  • Monitor and review service users’ health and respond to changes in condition

  • Provide emotional support and health education to individuals and their families

  • Liaise with GPs, hospitals, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals

  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation and comply with CQC standards

  • Ensure safeguarding and best practice guidelines are always followed

  • Support colleagues and contribute to the continuous improvement of care quality


Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN/RNLD) with valid NMC pin

  • Proven experience in community nursing, domiciliary care, or similar role

  • Confident in lone working and clinical decision-making

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle

  • Strong record-keeping and IT skills

  • A flexible and proactive approach to work


Desirable

  • Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities, mental health conditions, complex epilepsy, or acquired brain injury

  • Knowledge of safeguarding and mental capacity frameworks

  • Training in medication administration, infection control, and first aid
