Let’s Talk

We work in close partnership with families, health professionals, and community services to ensure consistent, respectful, and holistic support that enhances quality of life.

Specialist Environments That Feel Like Home

We provide fully adapted, community-based living environments designed to meet the complex physical and sensory needs of people with PMLD. These homes include:

  • Specialist equipment (such as hoists, profiling beds, accessible bathrooms, and sensory technology)
  • Accessible layouts for mobility aids and postural support
  • Calm, sensory-aware environments tailored to individual comfort
  • Opportunities for social interaction, stimulation, and engagement

Our aim is to support people to live full and meaningful lives in the community, while receiving the skilled care they need in settings that feel like home—not hospitals.

Tools We Use

Our support teams are trained to use a range of specialist assessment and risk management tools, chosen based on the individual’s needs and circumstances. These may include:

  • HCR-20 – A structured clinical guide for assessing the risk of violence and managing behavioural concerns.
  • ARMIDILO-S – A tool specifically designed to assess and reduce the risk of offending in individuals with intellectual disabilities.
  • Self-Harm and Suicide Prevention Plans – Personalised strategies to support emotional wellbeing and reduce risk.
  • Fire-Setting Risk Plans – Focused management plans for individuals who present with fire-related behaviours or risks.

All risk assessments and strategies are carried out in close partnership with the person we support, their families (where appropriate), local authorities, probation services, health professionals, and other safeguarding partners. This collaborative approach ensures that every plan is robust, transparent, and focused on both safety and personal progress.
