Supporting people with mental health conditions

Empowering Recovery, Resilience, and Independence

At Chiltern Support and Housing Ltd, we believe that mental health is just as important as physical health—and that everyone deserves access to the right support, at the right time, in the right way. We provide compassionate, structured, and recovery-focused support for adults living with mental health conditions, empowering individuals to regain control, build confidence, and live fulfilling lives.

Our services are tailored to each person’s unique needs and experiences. Whether someone is managing long-term mental illness, recovering from a crisis, or learning to live well with their diagnosis, we work alongside them to provide both stability and growth.

Making a Referral

Let’s Talk

We are here to walk alongside people—not to take over. Our goal is to help individuals develop the tools, networks, and resilience they need to live safely, confidently, and meaningfully in the community.

Who We Support

We support adults aged 18+ living with a wide range of mental health conditions, including:

  • Schizophrenia and psychosis
  • Bipolar affective disorder
  • Anxiety disorders and OCD
  • Depression and mood disorders
  • Personality disorders
  • PTSD and complex trauma
  • Co-occurring conditions such as autism, learning disabilities, or substance misuse
We also support individuals who may have experienced inpatient psychiatric care or are stepping down from hospital environments into more independent living.

Safe, Supportive Environments

Our supported living services provide calm, structured spaces where people can feel secure, respected, and listened to. With 24/7 staffing available where needed, and consistent keyworker relationships, we create environments that reduce anxiety, promote stability, and foster trust.

We aim to break down the barriers caused by stigma and offer each person the opportunity to define their own path—whether that means regaining independence, reconnecting with family, or rediscovering confidence after crisis.

Our Team

Our team is backed by our internal nurse-led Health & Wellbeing team and work closely with local mental health services to ensure consistent and coordinated support. Our support teams receive specialist training in:

  • Mental health first aid
  • Trauma-informed care
  • Positive behaviour support
  • Suicide prevention and safeguarding
  • Communication and de-escalation skills
Our care model is person-centred, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented. We recognise that no two journeys are the same, and we prioritise choice, autonomy, and partnership in everything we do.
